Kenilworth Business Nominated in National Competition
![]() Local business, Teddy & Me, has been nominated as one of ‘Britain’s Best Local Businesses’ in a competition which is being sponsored by The Sun Newspaper and Barclays Bank.
Sharon Ward (aged 37), who is mum to five-year-old Louis, was enthused to set up the business after getting involved with ADAPT (Charity no. 1080112), a local charity which supports parents of premature and poorly babies. She found that many mums struggled to find suitable well-fitting clothes for their low weight babies and wanted to help alleviate the problem.
Developed with help and advice from neonatal specialists and mums of special care babies, Teddy & Me clothes differ from the norm because they actually fit. They are also designed to accommodate any drips, leads or monitors babies may have, making them practical and comfortable.
Local business is at the heart of our communities and the backbone of the economy. That’s why The Sun are asking the nation to help them find, and recognise, the best local business in their area. The winner will receive a prize of £20,000 cash, a one to one mentoring session with retail magnate, Theo Paphitis, and a 3 year business support package. Plus eight runners up will each receive a prize of £5,000 and a one year business support package. The winner will be announced at the end of June.
Teddy & Me clothes are available to purchase online at www.teddyandme.co.uk
